Hi guys. Today I am going to tell you have to make a Bukkit minecraft server.
Where do I download Bukkit?
Well you can go to Bukkit.org or google Bukkit dev build for the latest one if Bukkit is not out yet. When you find a RB (Recommended build) or dev build, download it and save it to a Folder.
How do I start the server?
When you put the bukkit file in the Folder, make a new .txt document. Save the .txt file as Start.txt. After you have saved it, copy this code into the Start.txt- @echo off
"%ProgramFiles(x86)%Javajre6binjava.exe" -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar
pause (make sure it is not bolded). This may be outdated, depends on what server software you are on. If it is a 64-bit computer put this in the Start.txt- @echo off

pause. After you have done this press file SAVE-AS RUN.bat. Then after you have done that, make sure another icon popped up in your folder. Then double click it, it should start. After it starts it should start generating the world. When it is done type in the console o stopo
Port Forwarding
Well after you type stop, you want to go into o starto o search programs and fileso and type in o cmdo . Then a black box should pop up. Type in the console that pops up, ipconfig. then a bunch of stuff should pop up. Then go up till you see o Default gatewayo . Take that number and type it in the Search bar on the Internet. then log in with something like o Admino and the password is o passwordo . This depends on what kind of Router you have. then find somewhere on your router internet thing, and press add. then use your Pv4 address to port forward. Use the recommend ports o 25565 and 25565o . Use the first 3 numbers of your default gateway, but then use the LAST number of your Pv4 address with can be (4,5,6,100) or anyother number. This MAY CHANGE. then hit apply. If people cannot get on your server, you have done this wrong.
What happens after I do port forwarding?o
Well start your server, go into minecraft and type in the multiplayer ip o localhosto . Then it should let you in. If you want to change any files in the server.properties like the name, number of players, etc, stop the server and change them and restart the server. If you want any plugino s go to http://plugins.bukkit.org/#ti=&ta=all&au=&subm=false&pno=0 and follow the instructions for the plugino s that you pick (make sure your server is stopped or you may crash it). When your done with all these steps, run you server and go to http://ipchicken.com/ and get your ip. Give this ip to friends so they can connect. When you are done with all these things, you can give out your ip for people to come on and play.
