Tip#1: Don't follow rules
Staff of all sorts hate it when you follow the rules! They think you're another goody goody begging for diamonds! Show 'em your different and break all the rules, and they will realize that rules are just walls begging to be broken down! You will inspire many and will soon be on your way to OP glory!
Tip#2: Hack!
Servers realize not everyone is smart enough to use hacks and hack the server, so when they realize that YOU did it, they will realize you have definite programming potential and possibility for an admin position! You will once again show your not another rule follower who is boring and tasteless! It will also bring some excitement to the server and some players from hacking forums of all sorts! The owners will thank you for getting them more players and give you op!
Tip#3: Disrespect staff and other players
Staff love to be disrespected! Call 'em all sorts of names, grief their builds for the server. and bug them! They love this kind of stuff! They will realize how awesome and "cool" you are and give you op right away! Then you can finally ban that no good, rule following, grief hating, Staff respecting player! Finally the server is in your hands!
Tip#4: Just ask for a staff position!
It is truly that simple! As soon as you join a server (staff usually can't trust long time players, who have helped the server grow, and followed all rules) Just ask for op! Staff will realize that you are an obvioubus choice for the job just by looking at that skin of yours! You will more than likely bump the owner down to co-owner! Staff will trust you since you....

*More than likely haven't read the rules (it is usually best to not read them when searching for a staff position)
*Can easily be a hacker who will kill the server!
