Its kinda hard to see exactly how much uses a tool or weapon has left just by the little bar. My friend and I discovered a way to see the amount of durability a tool has left. I use a mac, but it might also work on a windows.
So, for a mac, you press fn+ f3, and h. Again, I dont use a Windows so I dont know if it will work, but for a windows, you would probably press just f3 and h. Make sure you press the keys at the same time. Hope this helped some people, please diamond and comment if you have questions. :D
MAKE SURE YOU PRESS H WHILE HOLDING F3 OR IT WILL NOT WORK!
The texture pack used is faithful 32x32 by Vattic

You can then release F3 and press it again.
Again, thanks!
