Hello new (and old) minecraft players!!
This tutorial will show you how to survive your first night and some more stuff that are important in a new world!
(note: this is different than most tutorials)
Anyways, in most tutorials (at least the ones i seen) they would tell you to do 100+/- things in one day!
Well, i'm here to tell you that you don't need it! you can take minecraft less seriously and relax a bit because...
Games are for fun!
Note: if you see (red random test here) it's something for new minecraft players, not for pros.
o Part 1 - Getting started:
First, when you just created your world, you chop down 200 trees with your own hands chop down 2 trees (about 12 pieces of wood). Create a workbench (press E, put the logs in the 2x2 grid and make planks, then put 4 planks in a 2x2 square and you have a workbench), then make 1 wooden pick and one wooden sword. Now comes the actual different part: if you see sheep (if you see them before making a sword do the same) kill them immediately. Once you killed 3 sheep and gotten 3 wool, make a bed. (3 wool on top of 3 planks, can be mixed colors) If you see any cows / pigs / chickens kill them and get some food.
o Part 2 - Exploring:
As the title says, explore; go where ever you want, find cool stuff (and even mine a bit coal and maybe iron).
Biomes i suggest exploring in: (to see what biome you are in, press f3 and the word after b: is the biome. you can also detect them easily in game)
~ Plains: lots of animals, villages. (most villages have a blacksmith with good loot)
~ Desert: Pyramids, villages. (stay away from the cactus xD)
These are the biomes I recommend, if you have any other recommended biomes post them (and why) in the comments!
o Part 3 - Settling:
Found the place you like and want to have your house there? good, now comes the third and easiest (in my opinion) part:
Make your house, mine for stuff, and play minecraft! from now on do whatever you'd like!! (stay away from those green creatures with 4 legs xD)
Some biomes i think are the best to settle down in: (different than biomes to explore)
~ Plains: animals, flat land.
~ Extreme Hills: Emeralds, awesome looking mountains and floating islands
~ Mushroom biome (Very rare)(obvious): Infinite food (Right click on a mooshroom with a bowl, and you'll get a mushroom stew), awesome looking.
o Part 4: House? farms? exploring? what's next?
It depends on what would you do!!
If you'd like to make a house, make it!
If you'd like to explore the world, explore!
If you'd like to mine for the precious things down there, do it!
What I mostly do:
First, I collect some wood, because obviously 12 logs won't be enough for a long time. Later, I collect some cobble, dirt, take some of my wood and other stuff, and explore the caves! I don't go down to diamond level (Press F3, look at Y: if it's less than 16, you're at diamond level.) yet, but I do collect iron and some gold. From there on I do a different thing every time!
