As someone who makes all there xp on planet minecraft legitimately, it makes me angry to see someone upload a mod, and then get a ton of xp, and then see it was made with mccreator.
First off, to those of you who are new to planet minecraft, and have not yet read the rules, and were thinking of uploading an mcreator mod, don't do it. it will get flagged, you will loose all xp gained from it, and in some cases, get temp banned from pmc.
How to tell if a mod was made with mcreator:
Im going to teach you how to tell if a mod was made with mcreator, and then flag it so you can clean up pmc.
1.) When your scrolling down planet minecraft's mod section, look for content that adds only a few things, such as a few new blocks, new items, 1 or 2 new mobs, or new crafting recipes. These are the easiest to find.
2.)When you find on that looks suspicious, click on it, and check the persons xp level on pmc. i would say if there 10 or below, that raises even more suspicion.
3.) Now, look at the description, it it well written out, or is it half a paragraph long? Does it look like the person knows what he/shes doing? Do they state in the credit, tags, or in the description that he/she made the mod in mcreator? This is the second to last suspicion raising sign that it is not legitimate.
4.) Finally, if you suspect them of making it with mcreator, download the mod. Then open up the .zip file and look for class files with mcreator in the name. If you find one, you can be sure that it was made in mcreator. Go back to the mod, and click the flag button under the download button area. Select program-generated content, and enter some information on why you suspect it of being program-generated. Finally click submit.
That's it! You helped clean up planet minecraft from people wanting to get fame from something they did not make legitimately. Remember, a moderator must review the flagged submission, and then remove it, so you may see it there for a bit.
