This tutorial assumes that you are using Windows, If you are using a different operating system or a older version of windows (windows 2000 to windows 10) you will have to create a VM for Windows 11 or above.
WINDOWS
Step 1. Install Java [​Download Link]
Step 2. Download a Minecraft Launcher [​Link to a Minecraft Launcher]


Step 3. Download ViaProxy [​Download Link to ViaProxy]
Step 4. Double click the JAR file for ViaProxy
Step 5. Put the server's IP and then select your version and click start.
Step 6. Double click the Minecraft Launcher exe.
Step 7. Launch your preferred Minecraft version.
Step 8. Open the multiplayer section.
Step 9. Put the IP in ViaProxy (127.0.0.1:(port)
Step 10. Join the server and play on the server.

HOW TO SETUP A VM

LINUX, MACOS, SOLARIS AND OLDER WINDOWS VERSIONS 2000-10

Step 1. Download Virtualbox. (DOWNLOAD LINK FOR MACOS) (DOWNLOAD LINK FOR OLDER WINDOWS VERSIONS (WINDOWS 2000-10)) (DOWNLOAD LINK FOR SOLARIS) (DOWNLOAD LINK FOR LINUX)
Step 2. Download a VM image (Link to VM Image)
Step 3. Set up Windows and the VM.
Step 4. Do the above steps in the Windows VM.
Step 5. Download Guest Editions Drivers. [​GUEST EDITIONS DOWNLOAD]
Step 6. Download WinZip [​WINZIP DOWNLOAD]
Step 7. Install WinZip
Step 8. Pay the fee to use WinZip.
Step 9. Unzip the iso file using WinZip.
Step 10. Run the exe file inside of the unzipped iso
Step 11. After setup unplug your pc and plug it back in and start up the vm again
Step 12. Launch Minecraft
Step 13. Launch ViaProxy
Step 14. Set up viaproxy as shown above again
Step 15. Join the proxy using the method
