Interesting map fact

**I know you can get minimaps to see each other, whether people like it or not. This is a way that you can do it without any mods to your clients. You have to be able to spawn maps, with damage values, on a bukkit server.**

So, there is an interesting bug that happens with maps. What happens is, when you go on a server and type /i map:(some damage value like 0 or 500) and someone else types that same one, then when you both hold it, you both appear on the minimap. You have the same icon, and the map glitches a whole lot when it happens. However, it is rather interesting because you can update the map together, or with even more than two people, and it will show up on everyone's map in real time. I am not sure if it still happens, but I have a theory of why it happens:

When someone crafts a map on a server, then the server registers that map. It keeps it saved, all that fun stuff. once another map is made, the server is coded so that that map automatically has a damage value of one above that other one. The next has one above that, and so on.

You could use this weird bug for multiplayer games or something on your servers. I do not have pictures because as much as I would love to set up a server and port forward just to show you this bug, I'm afraid that is a bit of a hassle, and the server I am op on, is closed for the next week. But yeah, hope you server moderators, game coordinators, whatever you guys are, get to use this and have fun with it for minigames or whatever. :)
