Let's start with your name, Zatharel. Where does that come from?
Oh boy, this is a long one, but I'll try to keep it short. The month when I got into Minecraft I had watched this movie called Zathura, so I wanted that to be my name, though it was taken. Basically, I made a bunch of different accounts (Zathariel, Zephyr, Zatharal, etc etc) and Zatharel seemed the most satisfying one. Nowadays people tend to think it's pronounced in some fancy way when in reality the Zath part is just pronounced as path and the other is just pronounced how you read it.
Your profile picture, it looks like some sort of ocean wave to me, perhaps a tsunami? What is that?
It's abstract art I found on deviantart. I am pretty sure it's some sort of tidal wave but I don't even know or care honestly, I just love the way it's made.
Where did you find Planet Minecraft?
I browsed the place a lot before actually making an account. Mostly for texture packs, mods, servers, that kind of stuff.
Why did you join Planet Minecraft?
Again, I had been browsing it for a while and it just seemed normal to register an account eventually.
When did you start playing Minecraft?
Very late 2011, I think I bought the account in December 2011.
Blogs, you post a lot of those. What are most of them about?
Depends on my mood really. I don't really like to stick to one particular type or style, I just want to experiment. Currently my blogs mostly consist of stories, both Minecraft related and not, but I'm planning on doing more game reviews in the future.
You also post projects, how long do those take on average?
Well, if you count the time spent on them, very little. I just sit for an hour or so in total and make something. If you're counting the time it takes me to bother uploading though, a few months minimum. I delay posting projects often mostly because I don't feel like working on them or I don't feel they're good enough.
Are you ever going to finish Temple of the Great Cat?
Probably not, I hope blie isn't reading this but that thing was a last minute attempt to save myself from not giving him a gift for the secret santa thing. I had completely forgotten to do something and I just found the world file and quickly wrapped it up so I can post it.
What do you think of the game Alter Ego?
Which one? There's the 1986 simulation game and the 2010 murder mystery game. For the simulation game, I really enjoyed it. It's interesting to see a simulation of what your life could have possibly been if you made X and X choices. I haven't really ever played that murder mystery game so I wouldn't know anything about it.
What are your thoughts on Gay Marriage?
Ooh controversy, I like it. Like most of my family I've always had a neutral opinion about this. It doesn't really affect me in any way, since I'm entirely straight, so really I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be legal, but I don't really care. If we strive for democracy so badly, then there's really no reason for gay marriages to not be legal.
How do you feel about this being the last question?
Well, I spent 10 precious minutes of my life on this, so eh, I'll get over it. Ciao! ^-^
