[Could you start by telling us how you got here, what happened to make you the only one?]

There were thousands, MILLIONS, of us, all living together, but then... IT happened...

[He shutters, he averts his eyes and stares at the floor]


I suppose your going to want to know what IT is huh. Well, one day when we were mining, we found some diamond. This was a normal occurance for us, and didn't stir much excitment, but for one of the miners, he went crazy. He pulled out a sword and slashed at everyone near it. A few of us escaped, got the guards. When we returned, he was still there, greedily defending the find, the guards attacked and killed him. We didn't know why he went crazy, at first, it was just with mining, just a one or two a year, nothing special. We figured the guys just got... tired, bored, something, that was making them tick.

[But that wasn't it]


No, it wasn't. We had to start thinking of other causes. New arrivals, one's who hadn't even been given a job yet started doing IT. Something was going on... it went from 1 or 2 a year, to several each month. This was when the panic struck. People boarded up their houses, killing anyone who tried to enter. More died from this than from IT. The population dropped to just around 5,000. We were decimated, the cities had been destoryed by vigilantes who thought they could fix everything with massive TNT cannons, which just killed a lot of innocent people... I managed to escape...

[He stares at the floor again, his eyes start to tear, but he quickly whipes it away]

I had to kill a lot of people to get out of the city... Most of them I didn't know, but some I did, some were my friends... I tried to think they were all under control of IT but... I knew, and still know, I'm just lying to myself...

[He pauses for a long while, I put my hand on his shoulder and tell him he did what he had to do to survive, anyone would have done it]

[When I came here, I didn't see any remnants of any cities? Where have they gone]

After 1,000 days of traveling, day and night, I stopped counting... I didn't want to see the cities of the dead anymore... to many memories you know...

[What else do you know about IT, has it ever had control of you?]

I was under IT's control one, for about 2 days. It was like hell. You have no control over yourself. Instead of precise, human-like movements, you move... mechanically, alghorithmically... You can still see, still hear, still feel, still think, but you can't control anything. I was weighed down by tons of pointless things, forced to swim an entire ocean. There was a... fellow person along the way. He called out to me, he was injured and tired. I wanted to call back, to help him, to survive together... but IT slaughtered him, I slaughtered him!

[He collapses on the floor, when he rises back up, he pulls out his sword. I can see the fire in his eyes... the innocent man behind them. I quickly get pulled out the room, and it is sealed. I hear the explosion as I walk away]
