The following summarizes the important events of the PMC Kingdoms Roleplay, current as of 8/23/2023 (c. 5 PM EST).

Some time ago, Princess Sasha (TheMountianeer) slipped away from the castle, dissatisfied with remaining pent up there. The first time, she was warned by a stranger in the forest that it was not safe for her to leave the castle. She slipped away again, however, and encountered Iteration 31 (-ghost-) as she was returning. The Iteration asked for a meeting to be arranged with Prince Silas (LegendarySi), which Sasha consented to discuss with him.

Soon afterward, however, a ball was set to happen. In the leadup, Rosealeta, considering assassinating the prince, put up a sign that lured two others, Le Piaccu and Jackson (Sailven) to a meeting in the forest. Iteration 31 observed their conversation, and when Jackson fled, hoping to assassinate the prince himself, Rosealeta and the Iteration followed. There was a confrontation in the prince's room, which ended in Rosealeta, who had changed her mind and now wished to protect the prince, fleeing because the prince was suspicious of her. Jackson, having miscalculated, also managed to escape.

Later, as the prince was about to leave for the ball, Rosealeta stopped him, saying that she really did want to protect him. Iteration 31, which had been on its way to talk to the prince, intervened and confirmed what Rosealeta had said. (When she had fled earlier, the Iteration had followed her into the forest and offered her a second chance if she would promise not to harm any of the royal family.) Since the ball was in progress, the prince asked Rosealeta and Iteration 31 to accompany him, to prevent any assassination attempts.

Meanwhile, Sir Gavin (Stormy) and Sasha were falling in love at the ball. Enough said.

At the ball, Iteration 31 was sent outside to investigate an anomaly (Gavin and Sasha were in the gazebo, near which Adriana (Glacial) was hiding. She tried to scare them off with a noise, but failed. This is probably the anomaly mentioned, though we may have to work on that). Unfortunately, a farmer, Le Piaccu, chose that moment to attack the prince. He fired an arrow, which Rosealeta blocked by taking the hit herself, then stabbed the prince and fled. Iteration 31 returned to find the prince stabbed. It immediately pursued Le Piaccu, who it caught up with and found passed out in the mud on his farm from too many drinks. It brought Piaccu to the castle dungeon, then found IGEBM, who had delivered the prince to the hospital, and informed him of its success. It then noticed Jackson hiding under the prince's carriage, who fled when it told him to come out. After a chase and a somewhat lopsided confrontation, Jackson was also delivered to the dungeon. Iteration 31 then disappeared for some time.

The following morning, Feldmarschall Wither Storm went to visit the prince in the hospital, with a message. However, he planned to kill the prince as well, and detonated an explosive device. Inexplicably, the prince and his other visitors survived, though slightly injured by the collapse of that part of the hospital. Kay_moon, a maid who had been visiting the prince, brought him into the castle. But earlier, Piaccu had helped Jackson escape the dungeon, and the latter was now back to finish the job. Adriana, summoned by the explosion, tried to stop him, and the two began fighting in the room where Prince Silas was. Kay_moon told Sasha, who had come to see what had happened to the prince, to run. Sasha decided to try to penetrate the forest and find the king, who would be able to help, and she fled the castle heading in that direction. Eventually, with the aid of Rosealeta, Adriana was able to overpower Jackson and lock him in the dungeon. As they left the dungeon, Adriana asked what had happened to Sasha. Hearing that the princess had gone to the forest, Adriana went after her, despite kay_moon's entreaties that she stay.

As Sasha headed toward the forest, she met Gavin, who insisted on going with her to make sure she was safe. For some time their journey was uneventful, except that at one point they overheard a conversation between ill-wishers of Sasha, in which 'ransom' was mentioned. Later, however, they began experiencing strange phenomena, culminating with their being surrounded by a group of phantom riders with malevolent intent. But at that moment, Adriana, having caught up to them, intervened, revealing a strange power source that she used to fight the riders (one of whom she had apparently met before).

Meanwhile, Rosealeta momentarily turned traitor and released Jackson. The latter came upon kay_moon outside the dungeon as Rosealeta said what she had done. Kay_moon was furious, but Jackson let her alone after stabbing her in the leg so she couldn't interfere. Later, Wolfe (Panda_Wolfe), a guard, noticed Rosealeta acting suspicious and put her in the dungeon after she confessed. As Jackson was on his way to find the prince, he noticed Rosealeta's dog. It led him to the dungeon, where he released Rosealeta. However, Iteration 31 had returned not long ago, and after being filled in on the recent events by Princess Maple (LeafpoolCat2009), had followed Jackson. It chose this moment to reveal itself, blocking Jackson's escape and confronting him. It let Rosealeta leave, but with a stern warning. Eventually, it locked Jackson in the dungeon again and welded the door shut.

Some time later, Rosealeta again released Jackson, who encountered an acquaintance, Takeshi (Shadow7--). Jackson asked Takeshi to help take down, or at least distract, the Iteration.

Prince Silas was taken to the keep by Maple, who had also been tipped off by Rosealeta about Jackson's release. There, he was visited by a skeleton pirate named Clay (ClayMan1077). While there, Clay was questioned by Maple about what sort of creature she was (which appeared to have cat features mixed in). Clay said that he had known some of the kind, but that they were last seen on an expedition to the Shrouded Isles, coated in red mists that ate away the hulls of any ships that came near. Clay offered to bring Maple there, saying his ship was one of the few that had made it through the mist, and she agreed.

The next day, Silas, Maple, and Rosealeta arrived at Clay's ship, ready to set sail. However, two others also arrived: Piaccu, who had been offered a deal by Clay to give him a shot at the prince, and woosh_, a knight who had been on vacation but was called back by a letter from someone at the palace. The latter had been riding along the docks when he saw Prince Silas, and decided to join him. Clay tried to knock the latter out with a plank, calling Piaccu to help when Woosh proved rather hard-headed. Woosh and Piaccu had a confrontation, which ended in stalemate, and Woosh realized that Clay didn't intend to harm the prince at all but had other plans. Just then, Jackson and Takeshi noticed the ship sailing away, and suspecting that the prince was on it, they rowed after. As they caught up to it, Woosh recognized Jackson, from a description given in the letter that had summoned him. Rosealeta confirmed this when she overheard and also recognized Jackson. Though Clay speedily dispatched the pursuers' boat with a firebomb, they managed to stay with the ship until it neared the Shrouded Isles, when they slipped aboard. However, Woosh had kept a sharp lookout, and when Jackson tried to have a look around, Woosh spotted him. However, Woosh just smiled suggestively and walked off. Takeshi then decided they had better do something before they were found, and they decided to find the prince.

Jackson then had the idea to just blow the ship up, rather than having to risk fighting anyone. However, Woosh intervened, ambushing Jackson with a plankas the latter was spreading some of the powder around. Takeshi, unfortunately, had a flare, and hurled it toward the powder while grabbing Jackson and leaping overboard. The ship exploded, and its occupants took refuge on a small island nearby. Rosealeta built a raft, and, leaving the others, began trying to find a way out of the fog. Jackson and Takeshi built a fire out of sight from the others, while Clay salvaged parts of the ship.

And that is where matters stand as of the latest update.
