The Following was excerpted from "The Marbach Times" Newspaper May 13th 2035 Edition.
For Better or Worse: Lakeside Transystem
Of the many projects the residents of Marbach Island have seen and appraised to, all choirs have been silenced to the Circulation Act of 2032 which called for an extensive transystem circulating above the city. The Transystem, otherwise known as Lakeside, will be stopping at many popular sites such as Hillside Tertiary School, Davenport Avenue, Harmon Bridge, Ellis Apartment Tower A, Sanford Square Park, and Norton Business Tower. The estimated 1.5 million dollar act was heavily debated in the acts early stages of production by citizens and political leaders alike.
"We felt it was the right thing to do," Mayor Castro Said, " Despite the budget drawback, we believe that if citizens of our good city will contribute to the cause, it will pay itself back in no time.
However, others feel differently about the act and the bridge.
"Every Time you look up, you might see the sky....or the bridge, it's just hideous to look at."
"It pillars through my own home, and all I got was a letter of appreciation for contribution to the greater good."
" It blocks the rainfall in my front yard. So while others are having lush green grass, mine is withering away."
These are just few of the reports from citizens throughout the lower half of the East Island.
Reports of early boycotting have been evident amongst it's citizens as a rally of protest was held at city hall past tuesday.
At the protest, many citizens threw sneakers at the courtyard and around the court building.
"We are willing to walk!" the chant echoed throughout the business district of upper East Island.
As up to 14 people were arrested for disorderly conduct and placed on 500 dollar bail each.
"We just do not accept this kind of behavior, no matter if I agree to it or not we must have order." Police Chef Gordon Menhe says.
At the rally the mayor took his own stand, along with many of his political allies.
"We looked at every aspect of the terminal," says Mayor Castro, " we considered all negative and positive attributes it would bring to the city and despite the placement issue I have heard countless times, We at the Marbach Island City Hall, felt that the positive outweigh the negative, and that's how we justify it."
When asked on the structure of the bridge and who produced the blueprints,
"I'm afraid I cannot answer that question fully, but the reason why we wanted the bridge to be above the city was simply because their was no more room to place a terminal anywhere else. Marbach Island is an old and respected establishment, however it was simply not build to be efficient for it's citizens of Today! Image! What our ancestors would think of us now, why they would be astonished."
Before leaving the office of City Hall, Mayor Castro left one more comment to assure it's citizens the bridge is for the best,
"We have the best architects on the case, everything constructed is for the benefit of it's citizens to simply get to where they need to go on time. That's all this act is about."

The Lakeside Transystem is scheduled for completion around the First of August of this year, a month before pre-election begins.
