“The battle for good and evil. I can do this for eternity, but can you? Your friends can't help you now. You are all alone.” The Overlord said, pointing at Lloyd.
“No, I'm not. My father is still in you. He will fight with me.". Lloyd yelled.
“Lloyd? Stay strong.” Garmadon said, flashing as his normal self for a moment as he tried to break free of the Overlord's grasp.
“Fool, you cannot defeat me!” The Overlord said.

Without looking Lloyd shot his powers at the Overlord and proceeded to land multiple punches and a kick.
“I can try!” Lloyd said before the Overlord laughed in response.


As Lloyd and The Overlord blasted their powers towards each other meeting in the middle to create a ball of energy. Lloyd looked pleadingly at the Overlord.
“Fight, father!” Lloyd said, an increasing worry in his voice.
“Lloyd!” Garmadon said, once more flashing to his normal self before switching back to The Overlord's appearance.
“Fight him!” Lloyd shouted, with determination in his voice.
“He is the Green Ninja” Kai said to the other ninja who were watching the battle in front of them.
“You will not… take…” Garmadon said, constantly flashing between his normal appearance and the Overlord.
“Fight him!” Lloyd shouted again.
“…. My son…” Garmadon yelled as he flashed back into his normal appearance.

Garmadon's eyes began glowing a bright red rather than pink when the Overlord possessed him. The power blast between both sides stopped, but just as everyone was about to celebrate their victory, Garmadon's face changed shape, and large curved horns sprouted from his head. Wu's eyes widened as he realized what was happening before him.
“Lloyd get down!” Wu shouted.
“What?” Lloyd said, looking at his uncle confused.

Wu watched Lloyd being hit with a blast of purple energy, sending him flying before crashing into the beach. Lloyd looked up, noticing his uncle and mother running towards him concerned. Then he looked to see what had blasted him.
“Father… Dad? Is that you?” Lloyd asked, focusing on what appeared to be his father approaching him.
“Lloyd, get away from him that isn't your father!” Misako shouted, running towards Lloyd.

Lloyd slowly got up while looking at his father. What did his mother mean? That was his father, his eyes weren't even pink anymore. They were their normal red. Then he noticed the horns on his father's head and quickly turned to run.
“My leg…” Lloyd groaned as he felt a pain in his right leg, causing him to fall back onto the sand.
“It's alright. I'm here.” Misako said, rushing to help her son up and helping him walk.
“Why does Dad have horns? What's happening?” Lloyd asked.
“There's much to discuss. He'll be heading to finish the Overlord and wanted you out of the way, but he'll be back. We need to find Mistaké before he does.” Wu said, watching his brother heading through a portal to Ninjago City.

Fun fact: Part 3 was the most difficult one to come up with. As this one isn’t exactly a big moment in Garmadon’s life. Yet after much thinking, I wanted to do a fun idea I had in the back of my mind. What if Garmadon unlocked his Oni form sooner?
