Alright, I am here to go step by step of what you write in your application for a Minecraft server. The do and don'ts! This will be short blog, I am not going to be writting your application, I am justing going to help you out. I will start out first.

Tips:
1.
Don't stress about grammar checking, as long as you know grammar rules and if you do then people will probably throw up at the sight of your application. If you are someone like me, now and then you miss out a word or use the word or you, could put a comma in a place it does not need to be like the previous one, then just read it out loud quickly. If you are lazy like me, then don't even check it for grammar probably like this blog, but I do recommend reading your application out loud.

2. Going back to the not checking my blog for grammar, you are not writting a blog, use formal language. Don't be so lazy, do not is not hard to write. Also I recommend a thesarus if you can not think of any sutaible synomyms for an informal word, I recommend being lazy and googling the word and there should be a dictonary site that is also a thesarus. Just think you are writing an essay, but you don't have an hour.

3. One thing that almost got me in trouble durning my trial period over at Mineplex was that I ended up annoying the owner, luckly I still made it through the trial. I do recommend not bugging and staff, or even mentioning your application unless you are good friends with the staff member, but still don't bug him. You can act more active infront of the owner, just try not to talk to him since you could ruin all your chances by doing something stupid to annoy him. Along with this, keep a clean record!

4. Wait for a month before applying after being declined, you know what can really piss off a staff member, being spammed with applications after receving the last one. You want the person to get their opinion on you out of their head, also take some time to help out the server more and try to prove yourself. Anyway, more time to write your application is never bad.

5. Explain and use examples. Don't just say 'I will mute spammers' you have to back it up by saying something along these lines.

'When dealing with a spammer, I will warn them before taking any action, if they continue to spam I will decide on a sutable punishment for the offender. For example if Little Jonny spams server IP, I would tell him that he needs to stop offending our rule against spamming and advertising. Then I would mute him for 5 hours since he is offending two rules at once.'

From this they now know how severe you punish people, also how you would act in that situation.

That is enough tips, time to move onto the fun part, writing it.

Application:
So, after you have filled out our IGN, Age, Skype etc. You will come along a question along these lines. 'Why should we hire you?' or 'Why should we choose you?' If not, hooray, you may not have to fill out one of the hardest questions in most staff application. Lets being

(Optional) I would write a short few sentence about your experience on the server, just stating something along these lines. 'After spending the last 5 months playing on this server I have realised that I want to help out this server by become a staff member.' I would not copy and paste that, it is just something along those lines in more detail and formal language. This is kind of like an introduction.

We want to start this off strong, lets use a sentence starter. Examples: Firstly, to start off. This is better than starting off with a lonely I. Now, I would talk about a problem and how you some how know how you resolve it, remember to give examples and explain. A quick format I would use is.

Sentence one-This has been happening.
Sentence two-This is how I deal with it.
Sentence three-Example.
Sentence four-Summrising.

After that I would talk about helping people out in the community. Like before start with a sentence starter, preferbably secondly since you are stating your second point overall, but you can use others. Mention different places, like on the server and forums. A quick format I would use is.

Sentence one-Moderators job is to help
Sentence two-Helping people out on the server and forums.
Sentence three-Explain
Sentence four-Example
Sentence five-Summrising.

Now I would talk about how you can dedicate your time to the server. I would also merge this talking about your experiences. These are sometimes questions in some formats, but not in others. These can help your chance a lot, you don't need a format for this. Remember to state how long you were there.

Finally, I would conclude, I would mention everything you have said in a summarised way. Use a sentence starter for this, you want your best to end it strong. A quick format I would use.

Sentence One-I think I am sutaible for this role.
Sentence two & three and any other points-I have said this.
Sentence Four-That is why I beilive I am sutable.
Sentence Five-Thank you.

Thank you for reading my blog, hopefully you take something away from this.
