Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to show you, THE LOCKED CHEST!!

This block is in vanilla minecraft. Do this command to obtain it.

/give 95 1

This block is black and purple. It is called a "locked chest" It emits light. If you place a ton of them next to each other, like you build a platform with them, they will slowly despawn. These blocks are very cool, but mysterious. They are vanilla. You can do the command yourself. For some reason, Mojang never said anything about them. Could this be a future update? OR just a failed attempt for this update? You are unable to open it. This is very mysterious.

Okay, I tried this in 1.5.2. This is still in there. It has a different texture though.--_png
Hopefully you guys can see the image. : The texture has changed, which means Mojang is working on it. So in the future, we may get a locked chest!

That's been in since Notch's April fools joke in Beta 1.4 They removed it a couple months ago though but it's nothing new

The Steve Co. Supply Crate, or locked chests as we commonly know them were added as an April fools reference to the Mann Co. Supply Crates in Team Fortress 2. They looked like what old chests looked like.

I think the locked chest was in a seecret update, or it was a joke block that didn't do anything. Sorta like the Halloween change, where the zombies wore pumpkins. Although, it is a cool idea. Lock your chests, and have a key? Pretty cool. Oh yeah. Look up this block on the Minecraft wiki.
