We've just left port about a few hours ago and are sailing towards new land. My name is Henry Mc Gutha. My dog, my wife, and two sons left the small town of Milfort after strange events started to occur. At night, there were screaming and moaning of villagers. And the population was decreasing. We were rushing to get out of the town, followed by a bucket full of the others. So here we are, on this large boat filled with other families. My job before was to sell the most wondrous potions that had many strange affects. Of course, my experiments sometimes harmed people but now on this ship, my job is to just manage provisions. I see odd clouds overhead at the time and I'm glad I brought this journal to entertain me, but still, I have the feeling that I'm being watched. Oh well, my pet dog is the only one with me right now so its alright.
March 17
Praise the Lord that I still remember how to write! Its been four days since we last port and something terrible happened. Those "Odd Clouds" I saw were odd clouds that struck our boat with lightning and burned our masts down, after that a storm came abrupt and whacked the ship against a mountain. I was thrown backwards and hit my head against a steel chest. My family is okay.....I hope, my son Hon, who is 17, has disappeared and my dog has a broken leg. My wife is here taking care of me and my other son Cratchit, who is about 5 and a half. But now were under a small house that I was able to build with the broken ship parts when I regained consciousness. There were other people on that ship so they might have survived and were shipwrecked on the same island that we are on. Tomorrow I'll start a fire and search for my son and some survivors. We might be able start a community or we might die trying. What matters is that I die with my family.

Now I'm very worried about Hon, yesterday, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw one of the sailors outside, he was about to knock to ask if he can stay but before he could, he was attacked by a zombie and shot by a living skeleton. Luckily, those monsters couldn't see us, but I'm afraid how Hon is. The blood on the zombies mouth frightened me the most, for if monsters inhabited this place, than this must be one of the cursed islands I heard of at taverns back at home. They warned us about sailing but we didn't listen, so they told us that the island by our route was worse than the town of Milfort, but that didn't stop us, and look at where we are. However, the good news is that we finished scavenging the ship and found many helpful things like a few beds, some food, and tools. Cratchit is crying again asking where Hon is, my wife comforts him and tells him to believe that Hon is alive and to be a big boy. Normally, Cratchit cheers up right away but today he just shook his head.
March 23
Hooray! This is fantastic, while chopping down some trees I heard some movement by some tall grass. At first I thought it was a survivor but it was an animal which inhabited the island. Or should I say, animals! There were cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and some wolfs. I thought of killing them right away but my wife stopped me.
"What if their the last of their kind on this island?" She said, "If you kill them, we'll never have any food or materials here!"
She made a point there, so instead, I built some pens while my wife started growing wheat with the seeds she found on deck. But the best part is we found Mr. Childs, who is our neighbor who was also on the ship. His mastering in sword fighting might help us. I ask if he wants to join us but he says that he needs to find his own family before he will join ours. Before he left, he showed us how to tame a wolf by being friendly and handing bones to it slowly and to not make sudden movements or the wolf would strike. He also let us keep the wolf which was great so now we have a family of five, if I was counting Hon. The best thing about our new wolf is that it was female, so we could breed if anything happened. Cratchit is happy with the new wolf and named her Phoebe, so thats what we decided on. Oh, I almost forgot to say our dogs name in case we forgot. His name is Bernard and he's been with us when Cratchit was only a infant. I hope things with Mr. Childs go well.
March 25
I have made a very bad discovery of a new monster that roams around, I gave it the name Creepus Explodus, or in English it would be Creeper. This Monster has a texture of crunchy leaves and explodes at anything. It survives at daytime as well as spiders who become passive. The Creeper makes no sound at all until you hear its terrible hissing and Boom! It was terrible cause when I was chopping down some wood to make a real house, a creeper jumped off the tree and blew me towards the ocean. luckily I had a safe landing and right now I'm in my makeshift house with my wife taking care of my wounds. Tomorrow I'll teach Cratchit how to use a sword, maybe thats what Mr. Childs should have taught us other than taming wolfs.
March 26
Cratchit's training went great! He successfully slashed the dummy (In other words, a log). After I helped him with that. I started to mine so we would have better materials other than wood. I started in a cave which had many ores. Coal for cooking stuff and for making torches. Iron for new tools and armor, and cobblestone for.....well more tools and furnaces. While mining I heard tons of monsters so I was lucky I brought a sword. At one point I was mining some coal when suddenly behind the coal was a very old mine shaft. Cave spiders inhabited this place which was filled with some treasures such as Melon seeds, Lapis, and some gold ingots, I guess the miners were killed by the monsters and some escaped but died. As I returned back home the image of my son Hon appeared in my head as a warrior in armor with a sword and bow. He was running into some kind of portal made of Obsidian and disappeared. Thats when I got the idea of making my own portal and following him there. But first I have finish the house so I might as well wait.
March 30
The house is done! and its not too shabby. I made fences for a backyard farm for our animals and our crops. But something mysterious happened today, when I woke up, there was a hole in the wall for no reason. I couldn't be a creeper because the explode large holes, could it be a new type of monster? Well, I did see some purple sparks coming out a tall dark thing. But as soon as I stared at it, it ran straight for me. I tripped and fell into a pond which the thing followed me into but then suddenly died. I guess their species have a thing about water, but I guess he was the one who made a hole in my house cause he dropped the wood as soon as he saw me. But today I realized that they teleport which is very horrible. But they dropped something that interested me. A pearl, but not a normal pearl, this was a greenish, bluish color. I thought it did nothing so I threw it over the roof of my house but I regretted it because it teleported me on the roof on my house. So a new discovery, yay, Pearls can teleport to places.
April 2
Two guys came to our house today saying that they're blacksmiths from Clifton which was a neighboring village from Milfort. I decided to build some rooms and give them a room for smelting. They thanked me and locked the door from the smelting room. I should have built a window so I knew what they were doing. I found an apple tree and harvested some apples. Their very sour, but food is food, I guess my wife could make a pie or something cause I also found some sugar canes too. Nothing else really happened today but I hear some explosions coming from the smelting room.
April 3
Those guys are now asking for a potion brewing stand. What use do they have for that? I asked for their names before the could take it. They sighed, stood up, and said out loud, " Bej and Hontch!"
Those were pretty weird names but fair is fair, so I gave them the stand. They gave me two Iron Ingots for it and locked the door. When I walked outside, I looked up and my heart lifted up high. Smoke, not far from our house, which equals some survivors! I ran with some food and clothes towards the forest not caring about the sunset. I found the campfire and saw a man. I couldn't tell who it was but he nodded his head and drew his sword. It was made of pure diamond and shone beautifully in the fire. He then threw it right beside my head. Barely cutting my ear off, and stabbing an incoming creeper in the head. He removed it from the dead creeper and nodded his head once again. Meaning he was gonna follow me home. I took him to the house and asked if he was staying. He just shook his head and handed me a book, then left, disappearing in the darkness.
April 5
Well, yesterday our stone tools are gone, the next day, their iron! Bej and Hontch must be practicing alchemy or something mysterious because those tools started glowing as soon as I started using them so I made another set of stone tools. Anyways, today I was mining till I discovered a new ore called redstone. Its used to make all sorts of contraptions......what kind, well.....I don't really know. I showed it to Bej and he grabbed a whole bag full from me. He said this would help a lot in smelting, it sounded like a lie but I let him have his way. After all, whose going to use red dust for something?
April 6
I was mining around until I heard some noises. It were zombies moaning, I freaked out and hid in a corner but then realized that none were around me. I back up and started mining to the noises until I hit cobbles stone which was old and covered in moss. The noises were very loud now. I opened a hole and regretted it. Five zombies, were staring at me. I quickly repaired the wall and had to think of a strategy, fast because those zombies could climb out any second. So I sprinted home before they could grab me. Bej handed two more iron ingots to me on the way in giving me enough for some iron boots.
April 8
I've gathered somethings in order to attack the undead fort. Some torches, those glowing iron tools Made by Bej, and some leather armor with iron boots. I journeyed early morning so if they escaped they would burn to death. I got back to the spot and the zombies were still there. I slashed one with the sword and it glowed again, the zombie was somehow extremely damaged by the sword so I hacked at it once again killing it. the next I kicked and decapitated. the other one was cut in half with my glowing blade. The last two were hit into a ravine which entered right into the fort. But for some reason, more appeared out of nowhere so I took care of them too. Then they kept appearing, it was madness until I found the cage which was right in the middle with a small zombie spinning around. I mined it and peace was in the area. Zombies stopped spawning, and I got to loot some chests.
April 10
I haven't seen Hontch for a while which really creeps me out. I ask Bej where he is but Bej just keeps quiet. However, he did tell me their secret of the glowing tools. Alchemy, and I was right. Bej must have been an alchemist while Hontch smelting things. Yet both got the title of Blacksmith. Bej told me that they were scams, or he was. Hontch has a business in smelting things and "magically" turning them into something better. People in Clifton didn't seem to notice, however it increased damage to the undead which explains a lot. He also said the explosions were Hontch's experiment and not his own. Hontch is probably starving by now for my wife left food at the smelting room door for Hontch and its still there.
April 11
This morning I woke up to reach for my glasses on the table next to my bed. Instead, it was an odd iron circle with a needle spinning around. Bej walked in and called it a Compass It was to point to the cardinal directions such as North, East, South, West......what are those? Us people in Milfort have never studied this kind of technology yet Clifton has? Clifton was still in Medieval Times when I have last visited there, now its upgraded to technology like never before. Bej said it helps to find your way home or it may lead to somewhere. Then he asked for some more redstone, I opened a chest and handed him the whole stash. He nodded and disappeared to his work.
Later today a man collapsed on our doorstep, I built a new house for we would get too crowded in ours. He quickly recovered and he introduced himself. His name was Jake Lakers, and he was a farmer from Milfort, although I have never seen this man before I finally remembered that he was the man who kept on buying drinks for everyone at the tavern. His family were still in the woods in a small tent, he went back to get them to his new house. After that he started to farm right away. I have the feeling that we might start a community.
April 13
Five men came to our door today, I thought they were wanting to come inside but they were cursing at us. Telling us what were doing is wrong, they threw rocks at us as if they were stoning us. What have we done wrong? They called themselves The Last Judgement Gang and were cloaked in dark cloaks with skulls on the backs. Jake came out with his hoe chasing them away. Well, I guess every community has their gang, if only that gang of justice was back, I have forgotten the name, but that gang actually helped people. Not in like a friendly way but like in a way like if a robber is stealing a woman's purse. The gang would beat the heck out of the robber. And take a few bucks out of the purse as if the woman was repaying them.
April 15
Those bastards of a gang came again and trampled our crops and stole some of our things. Mostly things we barely used but I remembered that I still have the locked book from the mysterious hooded man. I guess they tried to open it because it was on the ground with boot marks on it. Jake came and said he'll do the farming now and we allowed him to take the extra seeds. I of course expanded the land and our wives made a wonderful meal. As soon as it ended I remembered another thing. That gang of justice one called none other than the Riffs ! And Mr. Childs was secretly the leader of it! If he finds his family and returns here, we might be able to rid those sick monsters!
April 17
I brought the book to Bej and asked if he could craft a key for it, he took one look at it and said that it was easier than opening a book with no lock, he slammed the door shut and there was screaming and yelling of anger. He came and dropped the book on the floor and stomped on it. He said it was the bloody book of the devil which was enchanted shut. No ordinary key could open it, what will we do with this book? I also got a letter from that stupid gang, it had a picture of cannibals eating living people in their sleep. there was a caption under it saying: Die Before This Happens To You
April 18
While mining, I have finally found some obsidian, a dark purplish blackish rock that I've seen in a flashback. I have also learned how to make it, water and lava. With those together can make either cobblestone, or obsidian, it just depends how you use it. We are getting closer to see my lost son, but I wonder why he went in that portal, was he running away from something? Or was he running away from me? I'll know as I finish the portal.

The portal is finished! However, I'm not going in yet. I might need some reinforcements, and a drunken farmer isn't really good back-up. Mr. Childs seems to be at the distance, or maybe that's a zombie. The portal is making creepy moaning sounds and I cannot sleep. Its almost like the same noises in........Milfort. Oh no, what have I done?!
