So I'm a member of this awesome rp server called Alteria (teria.enjin.com) and we have to write stories for our characters. This was my first character and I wrote this several months ago. Posting it on PMC is more for my sake than anyone else's, but you are free to read it.




Mei a forest elf. She has long pointed ears, as most, if not all, elves do, sky-blue eyes, and long brown hair that is usually kept in a tidy ponytail. Though it is usually hidden, as she likes to keep her hood up. She wears a leaf-green tunic and brown/green leggings. On her back, she keeps a quiver full of arrows, as archery is her specialty. Though her skills with a sword are still quite impressive.


Mei is usually a very quiet, thoughtful person. She prefers to keep to herself and is weary of strangers, though is a true and loyal friend. She would never purposefully betray someone's trust in her. While she has more of an introverted personality, Mei is always eager to help those in need, in her own quiet way. She likes to remain true to her morals, which has not not always easy. Given the option, she would choose peace, despite her impressive skills as a fighter.


Mei, along with her elder brother, Yang, had a pretty good childhood growing up in the Forest of Vashta, a land of huge trees, not unlike Brethil, but over ten times bigger. The people of Vashta made their homes in the trees; they hollowed them out and lived amongst the treetops.


They had two loving parents who supported them in all they they aspired to do. Their mother was a highly-respected healer, known throughout the nation, for her ability to heal even the most disastrous of wounds. Many times, the hospitals of highest esteem tried to lure her to work for them, but she remained adamant about helping only the poor, those who could not afford professional help. She was praised as a "patron of the people." Their father had an occupation that was quite the opposite, though he was equally liked by all. He was a member of the Vashtan High Council, which advised the emperor and were established to make sure that the emperor was still in tune with his people.


As children, she and and her brother went to one of the best schools in the land, the School of Razón. There, they learned of both reason and of the ways of war. For it was a school designed for the Vashtan elite, the aristocracy. Both of them showed great promise in art of fighting and, starting at an early age, were trained to be warriors to work as royal guards. But Yang, unlike Mei and unbeknownst to all others, aspired to be greater than a servant of the royals. He wanted to be royal. He began plotting, and by the age of 30, had established a small cult of followers.


But, Yang and his cult were soon found out by the Council. Other council members, jealous of the father's popularity among the people, saw an opportunity and quickly acted on it. They created false evidence that the whole family was involved in the conspiracy, including Mei, who was close friends with the emperor's own daughter.


Despite this however, all were condemned. All were sentenced for execution. But the emperor's daughter convinced her father that Mei was not a part of it. The sentence for her was secretly lessened. She was to be banished to another time. And so, she was...
