Hello everyone. This is a short blog about Minecraft. I am asking two questions in this blog. First: How big is the minecraft community? Second: Could it reach a limit? Thirdly: Is it a good thing that it might get any bigger?
--First we can see that from the first official release in 2009 and 2013 27 million have played minecraft (whether they had actually bought it is a different story.) There are more than 25 million people that actually have an account. (Think about all the different minecraft names mojang has registered.) This is a huge number and with over 10,000 people buying it everyday this number could increase into the billions fairly quickly. Many different websites about minecraft have many different users; Planet minecraft in fact has over 1,700,000 members signed up. with more than 1,000 creating an account every week. Other sites like youtube, twitch, minecraft servers.org etc.(There are over 500,000 sites just dedicated to minecraft servers, server hosting, server reviewing etc). Of course this number increases every day. This leads on to my next question.
--Could it reach a limit? Honestly think about it for a second. With over 8 billion people in the world (keep in mind this was written in April 2015) there is a big chance it will keep on growing. I personally know many people who have bought minecraft only few weeks ago. With the increase in population the increase of people who will play minecraft will increase too. Also if you think about it the main reason that Minecraft has not died out (like many popular games) is because of the constant updates that keep the game interesting. If Mojang Microsoft keep on adding new cool and intereseting updates then the game will keep on being popular and more people will recommend to friends who will recommend to more friends and so on and so forth. There will be loads of people playing this game. This leads unto my next question.
--Is it a good thing that it gets bigger. Ok, well, Mojang Microsoft will definetely benefit as more people will buy and so more cash for them but also. With the increase in sales Mojang Microsoft will be encouraged to add more updates and so make the game more interesting so we (the very wanting audience) will have things to look forward to and will enjoy the game more. So technically more fun. Right?
Please dont hesitate to ask me question and put down in the comments section what you think. =D

If it had stopped growing back in 2013 then Notch would still be with us
