I suppose this would be more of a rant then anything but i promise i have a point.
So Recently i submitted my 15k x 15k world that i made with worldpainterworldeditvoxelmcedit.
It originally was to be used for a project, but before i could get finished with the map for the whole project team to work on it, the project fell through and i was left with a half incomplete map on my computer. So awhile ago i decided to go ahead and finish it.
I then submitted and got HUGE feedback and got 3000 views and 80 diamonds in 2 days. All my friends congratulated me and i even got several messages asking for me to work with others.
Then the "competitors" jumped in.
people from that old project believed i shouldn't post it because it was meant for the project and not to be seen by the light of day. So they flagged it saying it was not mine but the projects team. I was a bit upset, but again it is just minecraft, but i had worked hard on it and all together for it to be complete it took around 3 months of on and off work. I felt betrayed by the people i had worked in the past with, They skyped me saying that they didnt like that i went ahead and posted something that was for the project (although he later said the project is dead and he was angry that he didnt do the same cause he could've been "famous" for what he made whilst in the project)
(to make things clear, no one had worked on the map but me, i have most of the in-Dev pictures still on my imgur from where id show the other members how far id gotten)
Now here is what you've been waiting for, the point!
Minecraft has lost its fun to me less because of the content but more because of the community.
Yes there are some innocent nice minecraft players out there who just like to play but those types of people already know its better to play by yourself or an already known friend.
Server owners are cut throat to other Server owners, if youve ever mentioned "looks like fun, i might make a server" on there server, they will cut you down anyway possible (from pming you to banning you).
If you have a successful idea for a server, other server owners who are "willing to give advice" will just try to destroy you. I have yet to seen a NICEWelcoming Server owner, Ive grown away from running servers moreso cause of this, also because it wont be helping me pay my college bills (i decided to join a community on the unity forums)
But it doesnt stop with owners, several servers that have "towns" will butt heads, a player will randomly start building his home and a town owner will try to recruit him, then another and another. When the player just wants to build.. so he chooses a town from the pressure and finds out its premade for him. (pointless)
it may be because the community is mostly a young age, but it disappointing to see the way some of them handle things.
The last server i was a staff on, i gained staff rank within 2-3 weeks because of my knowledge and ability to use plugins+help new members. Of course the staff who took 3-4 months to get staff tried to welcome me in but i was still treated rudely, i later quit and once i had i told my friends how i felt about the staff. Then of course the staff would read through the console and bam next day i was banned. (after playing for about a month on the server)
Minecraft is a great game of imagination, but when imagination meets real world competitiveness, it loses its fun.. just a bit.
Anyway, My question to you guys, Has this happen to you? and what do you think about this?
(i could be wrong and just annoyed at my past but id like opinions)

All i want to do is make a beast house on a server, But NOOOO. The others just want to destroy.
Anyway, those idiots who worked on it originally chose to work on it, so it shouldn't be your fault if at the end they decide they don't want to have it online.
