Minecraft Crashing On Multiplayer

So I just got 1.3.1 and it keep crashing when i try to join a multiplayer server.I forced updated is anyone else having these problems or can anyone tell me how to fix this? Its starting to annoy me a bit I dont want to be alone on single player I want to play with new friends :"( its just not the same on single player without the community I need help plz?

I can go as far as a want in SP but when im trying to get on muliplayer it crashes

I have the same problem but worse i cant even get on a server and if i travel a short distance in SP i crash

Im thinking it might be mods in the mods folder from past updates im trying to figure it out even though it might just be a problem with the new update that they will fix
