Minecraft is STUFFING UP

When I go on servers and click join server it comes up with all this babbly glitchy writing. I cant read it because the words are on top of each other and stuff but I was wondering if anyone was experiencing this too. It happened earlier this year and people said it was because the MC server stuff had broken down. So if your experiencing this please reply.

Simple explanation, the minecraft servers are down. Just play single player, or technic, or watch youtube, or do something else! Just a good idea...

Yes. I'm totally seeing it also. I tried reinstalling minecraft, forcing updates, relogging, nothing. I'm almost positive this is Minecraft's problem, not ours.
