I thought it would be cool to have Minecraft cars. What if they had a separate folder with a base sedan.png, truck.png, semi.png, jeep.png, motorcycle.png, RV.png and you would have a default set of colors (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) for each type. When in Minecraft, you would simply have a "Automobile" icon and it would set a car randomly selected from all files in the "Automobile" folder in the Minecraft bin. This is where you could customize your cars to have even more than just plan colored cars. You could edit the textures in whatever way you like! (example sedan.png, sedan2.png, sedan3.png etc).

In creative, yes, but in survival (not sure what the crafting recipe would be) you would have the Car that can hold 2 people (truck/motorcycle)(jeep and sedan hold 4; RV holds 6) and it would be powered by oil.
GASOLINE - Can be obtained from new "Oil Block".
OIL BLOCK - Found near under the layer that is underwater (natural water only)EXAMPLE:
Mined using a pickaxe.

HOW TO GET GASOLINE:
Smelt the Oil block. It will give you a oil base.
Once oil base is made, you simply craft it with a glass bottle and you have "Gasoline".

WHAT IS THE GASOLINE USED FOR?
On the left side of all cars, a trigger is like opening the cap. It will open a dialog box saying "Fuel Up" and depending on your car type it will ask for gasoline. All can be driven for say 25,000 blocks? (Oil would take about 5 seconds to mine with an Iron pickaxe)

Sedan & Motorcycle - 1 gasoline flask
Jeep & Truck - 2 gasoline flasks
RV - 4 gasoline flasks
Semi - 10 gasoline flasks
(You cannot add additional flasks as backup)

WHY WOULD WE MAKE OTHER TYPES OF CARS?
Besides the obvious styling factor, the different cars could have different attributes that make them worth the gasoline usage. Sedans are able to drive fast and can climb 1 block. Motorcycles go a little faster but cannot climb a block. Jeeps can climb a max of 3 blocks but are restricted on the speed. Trucks can carry items (equivalent to say 3 chests) but do not go as fast as jeeps. RV can hold a lot of people and carry more items (about 10 chests worth) but drive painfully slow. Semis would hold up to 30 chests worth (great for moving locations) but drive even slower than RV's.

CRAFTING IDEA:

SEDAN (just a compass...ordinary)

TRUCK (probably replace cauldron with chest)

JEEP (feather because it can "jump")

SEMI (diamond for the large space)

RV (Ghast tear because ghasts are large)

MOTORCYCLE (can last up to 30,000 blocks per fuel up)
