If you have minecraft pocket edition then this is one of the bugs and the steps to completing it.

Step 1: go to the edge of the map

Step 2: build a tower as far up as you can go

Step 3: if you go into 3rd person view you will be invisible

Step 4: you will also be able to walk of the map

NOTE: if you have the lite version this will not work
