Throughout every mc server i have ever played its always been run like a dictatorship where admins and staff can do and say whatever they want and they enforce there own opinions instead of the rules. There has always been guidelines and for staff of servers but its loosely followed i also see this a lot on most server like the server i play on, a server called total minecraft, for example, spamming hasn't been clearly defined as a certain thing so a lot of the staff try to force there own opinion of what it is even if its something that u think is not spamming at all, but that's not there job. there job is to enforce the servers rules not there own. and so on and so on and that's why it becomes very easy to abuse where they can just say stop that or im muting you because rules aren't clearly defined to where they can be followed crystal clear. and on the server total minecraft it has shown some results of advancements from dictatorship to semi dictatorship but like all other servers the people don't get much of a say and we have no civil rights? why cant servers make the change where instead of a totalitarianism based government we run it like a democracy starting with civil rights such as freedom of speech ( to an extent as no racism and things like that ) but the right to say how we feel about people without being punished like the no disrespecting staff rule which is dumb because they about 99% of the time they make us angry and thats why we get mad at them. that rule is more of an excuse for staff to get you in trouble or weasel out of a lost argument more then anything. I have an idea for a government style that will let admins keep there power but gives is the rights we as players deserve.

(its based off of american government) first we would have our congress. congress will be made up of 10 -15 people and 1 person will be voted head of congress. now congress makes the rules and defines them fully so staff knows exactly how to enforce them ( no more opinions) then if they get passed by congress they go to the president who is voted in but has to be an admin. if president approves it becomes a rule if not its veto'ed but congress can re vote the rule and if 3/4 of congress votes yes then it passes. The president will be voted in but has to be an admin and will stay in for a predetermined amount of time. Now we get to the judicial. this is where things will really change because it gets rid of potential abuse and threats. when someone is caught breaking the rules set by congress they are jailed until a court date is available. when a court date is available they will be given a chance to prove there innocence or plead guilty. if they leave and dont show up for there court date then they forfeit there chance and the punishment is passed. now in the courtroom the judge is voted in by congress but has to be an admin and listens to both the stories of the plaintiff and the defendant. the evidence is brought up (this is where the anti abuse comes into good play) now whoever caught him in the act of rule breaking when they jail him has to write a report of exactly what happened, what time, date, and what he was doing + all the evidence that he committed the crime such as hawk reports. the person who caught the rule breaker must have proof that he did break the rule ( just saying i saw him break the rule wont work because that opens up the potential for abuse) or the case will be thrown out. next is the jury. jury can be volunteers or picked and must be sworn to not invoke person opinions on either the defendant or plank tiff and must vote fairly or they will be punished. the jury will listen to both cases and examine the evidence. once the jury decides on a vote guilt or non guilty the judge will pass judgment and punish the rule breaker. and finally there will be lawsuits, lets say johnny owes u money and he wont pay up. take it to court! and it plays out the same as i explained before.

with this kind of government the people would assume some power and the admins would still keep there's. For far to long the people of servers have been oppressed and not given the rights and power they deserve. server owners may say 'we have the power because we pay or run the server.' but what they don't understand is the most important part of a server is its players. without players a server would be useless. we are the real power but we have been brainwashed by the totalitarianism server owners who believe they have dominion over us. This is our chance to gain power but it can only happen if the players of minecraft band together into a union of teamwork and compromise. we must stand together against the oppressive dictators who believe they can control us! Rise up! IT IS UP TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU TO MAKE THIS DREAM HAPPEN! spread this message! not in the name of glory or self proclaimed honor but in the name of freedom and democracy for all of minecrafts players! lets make this dream happen! The Revolution has Begun!
