I was looking through blogs today and I noticed there are very little blogs with tips for Minecraft. So, I decided to make my own blog giving tips for new players and maybe some tips old players haven't heard. If you leave a comment with a tip I forgot I will add it to the list with full credit to you.Warning tips in random order.

Tips for new players
1.Never dig straight down. There are so many caves and lava pools in Minecraft chances are you will fall in one if you dig directly downwards.
2.Never run into a heard of monsters without good equipment.This is pretty obvious.
3.Likewise for digging, down digging up can be dangerous too.
4.Keep calm if you see a monster. If you panic, in your rush it could easily kill you so just stay calm and keep it within your view.
5. Don't be intimidated if you can't build great things, soon you will get the hang of it and be building giant castles.
6.Killing monsters or other things may seem hard at first but after a few fights you get the hang of it.
7.Don't wander off to far when you first start make sure your house is near the spawn when you die.(Mystic58)

Good tips for anyone
1.Once you get string it may be tempting to make a bow with it.But with lack of arrows early on and Minecraft's new hunger system , you should make a fishing pole to catch food so you'll never go hungry since most placeds have plenty of water.
2.Minecraft's new sprinting allows you to knock back enemies this "sprint-attack" is very useful for dealing with zombies and creepers.
3.Redstone may seem like it has few uses but with redstone torches you can mark every turn of a cave so you never get lost.
