Here are some tips for all the new miners. 1. Get wood you need wood to survive and also to make sure to bring wood along with you when exploring caves. 2. Make a shelter or house to stay in for the night before it gets to dark and if you see sheep kill or shear them for their wool to make a bed. 3. If you find a cave try to explore only the light areas so you can avoid hostile mobs. And if you you find coal mine it up and make torches or you can smelt wood logs in a furnace to make charcoal. 4. Never dig straight down because you will fall in lava but instead make a staircase descending and you'll probably find more ores that way. 5.
