Mo' Creatures Glitch

I've successfully downloaded and installed the Mo' Creatures mod for Minecraft. And I was able to quickly find and tame a Pegasus, but as I was flying around, my MC crashed. When I logged back in, I saw that my Pegasus was gone and I couldn't find him anywhere. When I went back to my house, I found two copies of my horse, both tamed and named the same. I breeded them and such, and when I flew around on another, my MC crashed again.
When I returned, I came back and saw, at least 7 or 11 copies of the same horse, since I gave each of them a unique name.

Anyone else with this mod have this before?
