Modloader Problem!? [HELP]

So guys i downloaded Modloader and did everything correctly. I first tried it with the Magical Staffs Mod and it worked. Later that day i tried using a different mod and the mod did not work at all. So i thought it was broken or something so i tried the Magical Staffs Mod again and it worked. But the problem is that no other mod that i tried worked. Does the mod have to be compatible with Modloader??

theres a good chance that ur problem is that one of the mods files is counteracting with the other like replacing a file or something.
