hello can someone please tell me how to install mods in the first place.ive watched lots of videos but it requies minecraft.jar which i dont have plz help

every minecraft has minecraft .jar its in the bin folder in .minecraft and you get to .minecraft if you put %appdata% in to run

then you need to open minecraft.jar with 7zip(I recommend) or other software that are similar. then put all extract files into minecraft.jar(NOT THE FILES!) and after that delete the META-INF folder and close the file then run minecraft to see if it work. If it didn't then you downloaded the mod wrong .
