If you are interested in my previous experience playing Minecraft, read as I find out what NOT to do and the workings of Minecraft!
*currently in construction*
One day two years ago, my dad bought Minecraft. He knew nothing about Minecraft, so his IGN was his name.
1. Choose your name WISELY!
After the update, now you can change your IGN once a month. But if you change it, there’s a chance your statistics in some servers might reset.
After my initial shock, I began playing the game. I opened a new survival singleplayer world. For a while, I tried using the up, down, left, and right keys, and it didn’t work.
2. Use WASD
You can change the settings if you’re a leftie, but that’s the default.
Another time, I met a wolf. Unsure of what to do, I went online for about two seconds and got information about how to tame wolves. Then I came back, got bone, and punched the wolf, whose eyes turned red and he began chasing me.
3. Don't punch wolves.
My cousin then informed me that I was supposed to right-click it.
In the nether, I flew around exploring. Then I punched a zombie pigman to see what it dropped, and all the others swarmed around me like a broken beehive.
4. Zombie pigmen are like bees.

I can only imagine this guy walking out of a forest with a bunch of scratches and wounds and saying only one thing: "Don't punch wolves."
