So, Dubstep. A mix of Drum 'n Bass and Electro. Their deformed child if you prefer. And this is my opinion about it, and what I believe are the different types of this music, and how I think it came to be (meaning it's all opinion NOT FACT)

==The Different Types of Dubstep==

Mind F*** Drops
To be honest here, any song labeled as this, I ignore. Knowing that these songs usually live up to the stereotypical random noise standard.

Smooth and Steady
I personally like it when there's a Dubstep song that has a steady beat even after the drop. I like to call these smooth, because it doesn't just throw random noises into your ears expecting them to take it in and like it. It also sometimes has a really good drumline, or some other percussion instrumental solo. A good example of this is Incredible by Carnage and Borgore. It just feels right to have a constant tempo and not break the mood with over exagerated "wubs" and less of a purpose as a song.

Drum Beatline, Electro Chorus
These type of songs, when done well, show that Drum 'n Bass and Electro can be put together and sound extremely good (To me at least). A good example of this I think is Whiskers by Gemini and Feed Me, yet another collaberation. It works extremely well, and actually requires talent to make. Really, any thing good sounding requires talent.

Guitar-Wub Symphony
Ah yes, this is what happens when Alternative Rock meets Electro... and you get one of my favorite music types to date. It feels right to have a Bass Guitar and Electronic vibes mixed together in a fashion that neither one would sound good without the other. And the best artist I know to do this well is the group Modestep. It's just perfect when it's done well, and to be honest, quite catchy.

Of course there are other types, but I felt these were on my mind the most.

==My Thinking of its Origin (Probably Wrong)==
I think what happened is that UK Punk Rock met up with French Electro, and they were like,
"Hay bro, we should hang some time."
"Definitely, we'd sound good together, wouldn't we?"
Then these two combined became Dubstep and Western Europe became the Dubstep Capitol of the world... until 'Murica.
'Murica finds out about this "Dubstep" and it's like,
"Huh, cool music. Now let's at a random car horn, make a child scream 'Call 911 Now', have a low frequency bass followed by a high pitch bass. Also, get rid of the Punk Rock feel entirely."
Then 'Murica's like,
"Yeah, Skrillex!"
And UKF is like,
"No! Feed Me and Modestep!"
And then they each stick to their different music feels, and everyone hears 'Murica version, and automatically assumes it's all random noise.

==My Opinion on Dubstep==
1. Some of Skrillex's songs are good, but he's not what I call, "Dubstep".
2. SKRILLEX IS NOT DUBSTEP.
3. Dubstep isn't just random noise and it requires talent. Sure, it doesn't require playing-an-instrument-live type of talent, but you try imagining Jimi Hendrix being a DJ. Yeah, dubstep is a creative-thinking-and-collaberation-of-noise-that-sounds-good type of talent.
4. Dubstep is a sensation, and as Angry Joe said about sensations, "You either hate it, or love it."
5. Monster Cat was created to eat Deadmau5.
6. I really hate Lights by Elle Goulding, and I don't know how many times I have to thumbs it down on Pandora. (More of a statement I know, but still.)
7. Remixes are good, when the remix keeps the feel of the old song. It's not like you can just mix Equinox by Skrillex into Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven and say it sounds good. (Wait.... nevermind, it actually sounds decent. I'm still using it as an example though.)
8. People hate on Dubstep for no reason. Even though when they listen to Pop Artists like Katy Perry and JT (Which FYI, basically use a dubstep backnoise in their songs) and they don't stop and listen to the song without the lyrics.
9. A combo of Electro and Country needs to happen.

==Dear Disclaimer==
If you go on a rant about how I, dubstep, or anything else in the article is stupid, please note that I respect your opinion in every way, just know that this is also MY opinion. So please, rage somewhere else.

If you ignore the disclaimer above, haters keep on hatin'.
