I walk out the leather working building. I turn right, I see a scout in my troops dad, I take no notice and continue walking...
I'm going to live with that decision the rest of my life...
I start walking down the dirt path, enjoying the beauty of nature, as I get to the main area, I look around for the trail I'm supposed to take.
Our camp, being the furthest away, is hard to find.
I vaguely remember taking this big path right here as a short cut... Right?
Nope!
I start walking down the path, I go too far and end up at the pool.
W-wait...
Just then a siren goes off, a lost scout drill, everyone is supposed to go to there camo and stay there until everyone is accounted for.
I hurry down the path, my heart rate spiking.
I end up where I originally was.
No, no, no, no, no!
Me being the arrogant fool I am, don't ask for help, I continue walking, down side trails and stuff.
Again ending up at the front again.
I decide to find help from one of the leaders. I walk up to one of the staff members counting there scouts in a camp, and say;
"Hey uh, I don't remember where my camp is."
"Oh, uh. One sec"
She finishes counting them and motions for me to fallow her, she takes me to the front.
The staff member of my camp recognizes me, and takes me from her. (In simple words XD)
We walk to the camp and a huge flood of relief rushes over me.
After the fact, while sitting by the fire, I say;
"Y'know, getting lost was fun and all, but I want something more-"
"I'm sorry, what??"
The scout who's dad I was supposed to fallow says.
"Yeah, the adrenaline, y'know?"
"ooookay."
