Most of the new members on this forum see high-level members, like disco, and are like "Cool! I cant wait until i'm level 100!". Then after their first post, they realise that it will take more than one submission.

Firstly, you need to take care in what you do. Don't write a badly-detailed blog, or anything, and expect to level up to 10.
 
Try and get a cool thumbnail. Unlike mine. There's a map of a dirt house on here, and because it has a cool thumbnail it's on 'What's Hot'

Be active. After you've published a blog, skin or anything, check what else has been posted in that area. That could mabybe give you ideas.

Think about what your posting. If what you're posting has been posted many times and you know it, chances are people will get bored of reading basically the same thing over and over again.

If you've got new information, coded something new into your mod or made a better version of your skin, update it. Updating it 'bumps' your post back up near the top, thus more people see it.

Use grammar. Noone likes reading a blog with poor grammar.

Quality work gives you quality levels.

Whether you're posting a blog, mod or map, add loads of pictures. It makes your post more interesting. Especially if its in the post itself.

Take time with your upload. I'm sure you want to leave your viewers in awe after viewing your creativity and skill.
