Prologue


The clouds turned a dark orange as the setting sun descended into the horizon.


A scream echoed in the distance. Through the clouds, an airborne vessel appeared, seemingly bringing black storm clouds with it. It resembled a pirate ship, but instead of sails and masts, it had what looked like fins on the sides, and gigantic fans on the rear. One of which had stopped working, and the other was on fire. The entire craft was plummeting downwards, its controls long since workable. Yet, a lone skeletal figure was trying. Clad in leather armor, it was desperately holding onto a rope connected to part of the sail with one hand, the wheel in the other. It was standing over slightly smaller, similar skeleton. Behind the ship Lightning suddenly lit up the surrounding area and a gigantic winged creature flashed for a fraction of a second. Booming thunder caught the skeleton off-guard, and it slipped onto the floor. By the time the skeleton could regain its balance, the ship was headed straight for the surface of an island nestled among darkening clouds.
