In Omega Park 7 the first thing I decided to do is to give one of my oldest (and favorite) rides Expedition Everest from Animal Kingdom a HUGE overhaul. One huge difference will be new ride audio. The audio will be actual ride sounds and not just music. It will now be activated from the start of the ride as well. Some minor changes will be made to the queue itself.
The biggest and possibly best change will be that I am now going to close off the mountain. For those who aren't aware, I built that mountain from the ground up. Its essentially a hollow shell. However, the top and back have been completely open since Omega Park 1. This will soon be changed. I am planning on adding a backstage area that will lead to the inside of the mountain where internal supports will also be built for realism. I am also going to take the tunnels inside and make them look significantly more natural to immerse the player in the ride more. I will also animate a scene of the Yeti ripping a track apart as best as I can.
This overhaul is well overdue, and this ride will no longer feel unfinished or un interesting.
