Positive Side of hosting from computer
1. You don't have to pay for hosting! You can save a lot from hosting it on your computer.
2. It runs off your computer, so if you get off your computer, the server also turns off, it could prevent griefing while your not on your server.
3. It is easy, you do not have to learn stuff like Control Panels, only folders and Console.
NEGATIVE SIDE!
1. If your internet is disabled your server will go down!
2. Their is not an Auto-Upload like some control panels.
3. If you hire a co-owner, they can not get access to the server, the server is ran off the IP so he could put stuff in folders, but uploading would not work, due to IP Address change.
SERVER HOSTS!

1. You can use an Auto Upload on SOME Control Panels.
2. If your internet goes down, your server does NOT!
3. It is always up, 99.99% of time, for most Hosts!
4. It is a lot easier than setting up a server with your computer, but you have to pay for a minecraft host.

1. You have to pay for the server host, it depends on the server plans Ram and file space.
2. Some server plans are expensive.
3. It is possible to be hacked if someone gets your Email and server host name
4. It could go down if the Server Host's are down.
