Please Note: The following fanfic was written before the events of season 15 (Seabound). If anything happens in the show afterwards that contradicts this story, it should just be accepted as an alternate universe.

Pixal knocked on the door to Seliel’s office somewhat nervous. She knew Seliel was upset but from what Cole had told her wasn’t fully upset with her. However, Pixal wondered if Cole’s word was true. As Seliel told her to come in, Pixal put those thoughts aside and opened the door.
“You up for a walk?” Seliel asked.
“Sure?” Pixal replied, somewhat caught off guard by the question.
The two walked in silence for a few minutes until Seliel decided to speak:
“Listen, I wanted to apologize okay. The way I yelled at you was uncalled for. I know you didn’t mean harm, but I just got mad. I felt my suit was being tested for an unnecessary task, at least by my standards. I’m not a ninja, I don’t have powers and the crimes I deal with aren’t as high stakes like in Ninjago City.”
“Your suit was being tested or do you feel you were being tested?” Pixal asked looking at Seliel sympathetically. When Seliel gave no response Pixal continued:
“I noticed you made small comments about elemental masters overshadowing people without powers and now this. Are you happy with who you are?”

Seliel stopped in her tracks and stared at the ground.
“I feel like I’m not good enough compared to the ninja. Yet back home, I feel fine. I… I don’t know how to explain this but when I fight alongside the ninja. I wish I could be someone else.” Seliel said.
“What do you mean someone else?” Pixal asked.
“I don’t know, maybe with powers or at least someone that knows spinjitzu. Just not someone wearing a suit pretending to be a superhero.”
“You are a superhero…”
“Really? Who have I saved? My town? That was only possible with help from the ninja. Cole? Not without Jarahn, someone who knows airjitzu. Face it I never saved or stopped anything on my own.”
“Perhaps but neither as any of the ninja. Sure, they sometimes struck the last blow but in reality, they all work as a team.”
“Are you saying I should have a team?”
“No, I’m saying you should stop comparing yourself to a team when you’re just one person. I’d like to show you something. Are you up for a drive? It would be quite a long walk to get there.”
“Sure, do you…”
“Yes, I have a vehicle to get us there.”

The two of them walked back to Borg Tower then Pixel instructed Seliel to grab her stuff and meet her in front of Borg Tower. Within a few minutes, Seliel packed her suit and blueprints, and Pixal returned driving the Samurai X vehicle. Seliel hopped in and the two drove off towards the desert.

“Wait a second, are you taking me to the Samurai X cave?” Seliel asked.
“Indeed.” Pixal replied.

Seliel turned to Pixal expecting more of a response. When she didn’t get anything more, Seliel shrugged and turned away. Upon arrival, the lights inside the cave turned on one by one. Seliel stood in amazement, Seliel had heard of the Samurai X cave before, but to see it in person is completely different. There were so many vehicles on display to cars, motorcycles, and the famous Samurai X mech. Seliel exited the vehicle and spun around taking in the scenery.
“What do you think?” Pixal asked, even though she already knew Seliel response.
“It’s amazing, I wish I had something like this back home.” Seliel replied, still spinning around.
“If you’d like I can assist you in the building if you’d like? However, this is not why I brought you here.”
“Then why did you bring me here?”

Pixal didn’t say anything, instead walked up to the computer and pulled up the map of the whole Ninjago island.
“Ninjago island is full of chaotic events that happen all across the island. Me and the ninja only deal with problems we come across, yet others like you help with the problems we don’t know about. You may call them small or insignificant compared to what the ninja deal with but imaging what could happen if you weren’t there to stop them.” Pixal said.
“Chaos.” Seliel said.

Pixal nodded in agreement.
“How do you deal with working alongside the ninja? You know, powers and all.” Seliel asked.
“I do what you do.” Pixal said.
Seliel just stared confused.
“I show my abilities. I upgraded the Samurai X cave, along with improved some of the ninja’s vehicles.”
“I’ve never done any of that though.”
“I disagree, you developed your smoke bombs, you made your suit, you set up an alert system around Nom. I wouldn’t trust Lloyd to set up an alert system without assistance. You have abilities, whether you believe it or not.”
Seliel’ gave a half-smile in response.
“Thanks. Do you have a list of contacts on that computer?” Seliel said while tilting her head towards the main screen.”
“I do?” Pixal replied, somewhat confused.
“Well pull it up, I want to add my information in there.”

Pixal did so, then Seliel typed her information and pressed save.
“I know this computer is connected to you, so now you can get a hold of me.” Seliel said smiling at Pixal.

Pixal was grateful for the gesture and decided to pull up blueprints.
“What’s this?” Seliel asked.
“Vehicle blueprints, I haven’t seen a phantom ninja vehicle. I believe it’s time we change that. I have a bunch of unused extra vehicles and figure it’s the time one of them gets an upgrade.” Pixal replied with a grin.

Fun fact: The reason I chose Pixal and Seliel as the focus of the story is that not only cause Seliel hates droids, but I find their personalities rather similar in a conflicting sense. As in, Seliel says what’s on her mind while Pixal will sarcastically comment on something.
