PART 1

Peeta and Prim were secretly best friends since Prim was 10 and Peeta was 14. She has been in love with him, but when he blurted out he had a crush on her sister ever since they were 5, Prim went back to just being his best friend. She would persuade Katniss to go to the bakery to buy bread. When katniss was 14 she went to the bakery to wish Peeta a happy birthday. They were as close as Prim and Peeta were. Prim begged Peeta to kiss her on her birthday. He just shook his head, laughing. "She would never want to someone like me." When Katniss was on her way out, she game him a big hug. He was surprised, but wrapped his arms around her. On Katniss's 16th birthday, Peeta visited her house."Peeta, do you know what i want for my birthday? "Katniss asked. He paused, and thought for a moment. "Ummm... better food?" She laughed and shook her head. Lightly, she took his face in her hands and leaned in. Their lips brushed each others. Then they kissed again, this time longer and their lips actually touched each other. Prim was watching the whole time. Peeta was too caught up with Katniss. He didn't even talk to Prim anymore. Prim became so jealous because he left her for katniss.
