"Whew..." Arian sighs. "That was quite a game. How are you, Ender ? Doing okay ?"

"Y... yeah. They hit hard..."

He still has bruises from the shots of Shadow Zibonzi and Rider. The Spark students left the gym as the students of Shadow Class are celebrating their victory. Most members of the Shadow team are pretty happy with their own performances, or with their teammate's. Mrs. Lemon left as well, and is now in the hallways, apparently looking for someone. The girls go in the girl's lockers room to change for their next class. Meilin glances at her schedule and says:

"Well, girls, it seems our next class today is a Home Ecs. with the guys from Warped class."

"Nice ! Will be relaxing and friendly, then !" Tremella replies.

"You bet !" Belle and Ash exclaim at the same time.

"You girls are fond on cooking, right ?" Meilin asks.

"Yep. Baking, to be more exact" Belle replies. "I love baking sweets and cakes ! Oooh ! I hope that will be today's assignement !"

They all walk out of the locker's room and head for class. They are greeted by the teacher, a beautiful elven woman:

"Ah, here you are ! We were waiting for you. Come in !"

Rosealeta shows them inside the classroom, where the students of Warped class are already set. They take place and await for the course. Rosealeta goes up in front of the whole class and declares:

"Today's course will be a little special ! You are going to split into groups of four, two of each class, and then bake the items that are written on the mystery list I'll give each team ! Once this is completed, we'll look at your creations and see how good you did. The team who did the best will receive a prize. Form the teams !"

Arian thinks quickly, goes right to Ash and asks:

"You want to team with me ?"

Ash chuckles: "I know you're picking me because I'm good at cooking, but okay."

"Hey, Arian replies, if I was good at cooking, you'de pick me too, am I wrong ?"

"Yeaaah... Right."

The two of them then search the Warped Class to see with who they'll team up. They finally take Amy and Kaede in their team, completing the quartet. Then, they go to Rosealeta for the latter to give them the list. The young woman hands them the piece of paper, and they quickly look at it. Arian decides to read it for her teammates:

"Cookies, banana bread and a smoothie. We have access to the in-built kitchen and the pantry."

"Then let's get going !" Amy says.

The four girls quickly raid the pantry and take all required ingredients. Then they go back to their work area and drop everything on the counter. They start talking together to see who's going to take care of which part. Amy starts singing:

"I could take care of the cookies !"

"Why are you singing ?" Ash asks.

"She always sing, Kaede replies. Or at least, most of time."

"Ok, I get it. Then, get on the cookies. You, Arian, prepare the fruit smoothie and then go help her with the cookies. Me and Kaede will bake the bread."

"Aye aye, chief !" Arian replies.

She goes to another table and starts her smoothie recipe. While she does that, Amy takes the cookie ingredients and puts them in a big bowl, mixes and then makes the shape. Ash and Kaede are putting their ingredients in the pan. As a smoothie isn't a very difficult task, Arian soon finishes it and goes with Amy to help her shape the cookies into stars. Ash and Kaede already put their bread in the oven, and the two other girls put their cookies as well.

"Now, well, we can't do much more but wait..." Says Ash.

"I see a team that doesn't have this problem." Replies Amy while singing. "That looks insane, I mean, wow ! Are they allowed to do this in class ? I guess so, since Mrs. Rosealeta doesn't seem to react. That's such a useful feature !"

The other girls look at said team: Grimm, Tremella and Gaél are standing back, as Ella uses her ability of generating fire to speed up the cooking of their creations. The flames are very high and bright, and it almost seems like Ella's trying to set the classroom on fire. At least, that's what it looks like. But after a few minutes of intense blazing fury, Ella puts out the fire and says something to her teammates, that sounds like:

"Pastries are ready !"

"At least it's not a race..." Ash mumbles. "What counts is the quality of the products."

"Then we should be good ! Amy exclaims, still singing. I put so much love into these cookies, I guarantee they'll be the best ones ever !"

After an hour and half, everyone is done. Rosealeta then proceeds to the taste test. She starts by the first team: Blaze, Phoebe, Greief and Libby. Their assignment was to create a chocolate pie, a pudding and a homemade lemonade. All entries are delicious, as Rosealeta approves:

"Good work, kids ! These are delicious. You did very well."

She then examines the next team: Silas, Meilin, Cloud and Allo. None of them had special cooking skills, but they still managed to finish two of their entries, namely brownies and cupcakes. The taste test begins and Rosealeta says:

"Hmmm... Nice ! Say, what did you put into these cupcakes ?"

"Eeerm... Coffee, ma'am..." Silas says.

"Bold choice ! I heartily encourage creativity ! However, since you haven't completed all entries, you lose a few points. Good work, though."

The third team is Ella, Grimm, Tremella and Gaél. An interesting smell comes from their entries, and it seems Ella slightly overdid it, after all. Their shortcakes and tartlets have a blackened crust, while the burnt cream looks like it had more than it's share of burnt. Rosealeta proceeds to taste and a surprised expression appears on her face. She then declares:

"Hmm... I see you chose quite an unconventional way of cooking your food. That's interesting, but I'd insist you choose the oven, next time."

The fourth team is the team of Ender, Belle, Piaccu and Flyne. As Belle hoped, the assignment was to bake sweets and pastries, and she did very good. Their team only had two things to create, since they were harder to make: a Black Forest cake and a lemon pie. Both look delicious and smell like so, too. Rosealeta tries to look professional, but it's apparent that she's impatient to taste the desserts. She does so, as a joyful expression takes place on her face:

"Wow ! These are excellent ! You did very good work ! Who... baked these ?"

"We followed Belle's recipes." Flyne replies.

"Good job, kids !" She says.

She then comes closer to Belle and whispers something to her ear, slightly blushing. Belle opens her eyes wide and smiles:

"Of course !"

Finally, Rosealeta goes to the table of Arianwyn, Ash, Amy and Kaede. The taste test concludes, and she says:

"Very good as well ! Your work is almost professionnal, which is amazing for your age. You should consider the career in the future."

She winks and returns to her place. Then, she declares:

"Well, today was a busy day ! Before I dismiss class, I'll announce the results: The team of Belle, Ender, Piaccu and Flyne won today's challenge ! Congratulations !"


Later, Arian and Meilin wait for Belle to come out of the classroom. Their friend comes after a few minutes, looking all joyful. Meilin asks:

"So, what's the prize ? And what did she want from you ?"

"The prize is a coupon for Mrs. Rosealeta's own bakery. It entiles me to up to two free treats !"

"And what did she want ?" Arian asks insistantly.

"Oh, she just wanted me to give her my recipes... I'm so happy ! I didn't think they'd be so liked !"
