In PMC, we do know that there are already big heaps of famous people (especially builders and texture pack makers). These famous people also got the feeling that they want to write blogs. They end up writing blogs with no point at all, overused covers, and typo's, but hey, they got pop reel.
It's hard to get over this. It's because many people have their minds on the rule "what is popular, will remain popular". For example, there is this guy who writes a good tutorial. But he didn't get pop reel due to those famous people remain famous, even though they suck at writing. It also happens in contests. Like what happened to a person I heard since when PMC was a baby. When there was a contest, he made the best thing he could make. And, oh boy, it was a good one. But, turns out, other skins won.
And what's the additives in their blogs? Gifs and custom text are excuses of quality writing. Even cover pictures are excuses, such as anime and Nova Skin rendering. Oh God, how poor.
