Hello and welcome to the world of Process. The year is 17734, our time. For the residents of Earth, it is 1000 P.E. (Post-Exodus), and their time is running out.
You see, at this time, all but 1,000,000 normal humans are either dead or in an exodus ship millions of lightyears away. The Earth itself is encased in a powerful shield, as it was enveloped by the sun. 1000 years later, the people of Earth have but 100 years left before the shields collapse under the pressure of being in the center of a dying star.
The Earth is comprised of three areas:
50%: The Jungle, one huge city that covers half of the world. It now lies in ruins, abandoned.
49.9%: The Processor. More on this later.
0.1%: Haven, the last safe place for humanity, and ito s running out of room.

Now, as for the Processor, It was initially an extinction device that the humans were tricked into creating by an alliance of alien races. But, as the activation sequence was initiated, something went terribly wrong. The machine glitched, the humans made a mistake. The Processor is now a thinking, learning, torture device. Anyone who is brought in is taken to a 3x3x8 foot room, which is completely dark. They are left there for one week, given 1 small glass of water per day. After that, they are injected with nanites and sent to the first of their 50 appointments. The nanites stimulate the pain receptors of the body, amplifying any pain felt. At the same time, they keep the specimen from dying. Each of the appointments would kill anyone without the nanites. After their 50 appointments, the specimen is left in their cell for another month, with food once a week and water once a day, until they are released to the Jungle. At this point, the specimen is a disgusting, cruel, heartless, and animalistic monster that hates anything that is alive. They will occasionally have different mutations in their bodies, as well.
The Processor is often used as punishment, for it is the only thing people can think of. Also, technology is incredibly rare. Insanely so, in fact.
