Now this is a dumb theory with barley any evidence to support it, so don't mind thst lol

As someone who reads the official character encyclopedia Way more than I should I noticed that there is no flipping way they actually swapped bodies unless there's just abunch of lonleh Freddy's walking around the fnaf universe, at that point Elizabeth might be a lonley freddy.

So first I present, all lonley Freddy's are empty with no personality, as they ask questions they make a digital copy of the kid, the real kid walks away as the digital copy is left to think bodies were swapped. Just talking to lonley kids and then making an ai clone that will assume it swapped bodies with lonley freddy when in truth the kid is just walking away.

If we were put in that context, the real part of the theory, lonley freddy was a test. Glitchtrap is ofcourse ai sentience (I think), a digital clone of William afton to let him live on. What if lonley freddy was just testing the work of the ai cloning, William tested it on children to see how accurate it would work and how accurate it would be to the child.

After finding that it worked William soon started awnsering the questions and transferred the ai sentience out of lonley freddy and into a digital glitchtrap ai avatar. "I always come back. Now let me out" would align with the ai clones of kids thinking they were real and trapped, glitchtrap thinking he was the real William and being trapped online.
