This blog is for bro10's Blogging Association Contest.

So first of all, I want to say that this blog is based off of entirely my ideas and thoughts on these, but if you feel that I am wrong or you disagree, feel free to state so in the comments.

Alright, so here in this blog I am going to (somewhat) explain to you what Rants, Opinions, and Hate are. Now, some of you may already know what they are, but I see quite a few people that get some of these mixed up with other words, and it sometimes causes disruption, flame wars, and other nonsense. With that said, I will try my best to make sure that you fully understand what these are to prevent any disputes. (and/or "friendly" arguments.)

Rants

I am actually seeing quite a few of these being on the pop reel, maybe because people can always find something about them to agree upon. But back to the point. Rants are what you would consider as someone trying to prove a point. They may be specifically directed at an issue, a person, or a group of people. Now, these aren't meant to be seen as mean or offensive, but some people who have opposing ideas might see it that way. The people who make rant blogs are just trying to get a message across to others, so don't be upset.

Opinions

Opinions are what you think of something, and whether or not you like it. They can be the deciding factor of almost everything, like whether a blog or skin gets on the reel, or whether or not your parents will let you buy that one game that you've always wanted. They will always affect another's decision based on your opinions on things. I don't have much to say about this topic, so what opinion actually is depends on your perspective.

Hate

We all may have experienced this at one time or another, and it's not very nice to receive. (or to give, either.) So hate, what is it? In my point of view, hate is a very strong feeling that can cause us to do certain things, for instance, spamming somebody PMs about "how much they suck and how they should go die in a hole," or maybe commenting something rude with foul language included on someone's work.

Although, there is one thing that I want you all to know. There is a very distinguishable difference between hate and constructive criticism. Hate, like I said, is offensive and rude and can be found as a way of cyber-bullying. Constructive criticism, however, is something that points out mistakes or errors in a polite way to help. Suggestions can also be helpful, as they will help the person strive to become better and improve.
