Really, REALLY?!?!?! [rant]

I am here today to say two things, the first is, I have seen servers that have to spell out every rule eg. :
  • No changing the game to have an advantage
  • No modding
  • No hacking
  • No fly mod
  • No x-ray mod
and more like that, I think that it should just be common sense to know the rest, but servers have to spell it out, and I am not hating on the servers, I am hating on the people who use a broad rule to defend themselves, a broad rule is made to save room for other rules, not so that you can defend yourself with it. I think that it really should be obvious in a list like above the the first rule covers all of the below.

Second, do we really have to resort to swearing. There are children on servers, and do you want to be a bad influence on people. I mean, there is no excuse for "slipping" one, because you have to type it, I do not believe that "by accident" someone will press T and then a well, potty word. I just think that both of these things should be common sense to any minecraft player, and to the servers, do not spell it out and do not feed them to abuse broad rules, just ban them, if they are not smart enough to figure out a broad rule covers a lot, and give them what they deserve.

No, things like hacking, cheat engine, and x-ray texture packs and mods are what gives you the advantage, not allowing you to look cool :)

Actually, most of the time, it's the kids that swear. The intellectual kids know better and aren't even fazed by it, so it doesn't appear to be an issue.
