Okay Everyone here i will be giving a step by step tutorial on how to make your very own redstone door!
(their is also a youtube video you can watch)
You will probably be building this for a house. so i suggest laying out the front wall first. (view pic)
Next Dig Two Blocks deep a full rectangle around the wall you just made
Note: the hole will need to be right next to the wall.
Note: you will need to leave sort of a step at each corner then let the next block go up as well
Next Place your 2 sticky pistons on each side of the wall.
Note: they will need to be 3 back from where you want your door. (1 block for the piston one for the extension of the piston and 1 for the block being extended)
Next Place a redstone torch against the block behind the top piston on each side
Note: the torch should be facing the back of the piston, this will make both top and bottom pistons move out.
Next place the redstone dust according to where i have placed them in the video
(this should be completely around(in) the hole you made)
After that you need to dig into the wall up 1 then over to the block the redstone torch is on
Note: do not break the block the redstone torch is on.
So now you can place two blocks on each side infront of your door and on top a pressure plate.
if you followed this correctly you will be able to walk in and out of your house by stepping on the pressure plates.
Optional stuff:
I assume youd want to cover up the redstone.
this is where you have to becareful because if you place a block incorrectly your redstone wont work.
So i suggest making a covering for it. you can blend it in with your house and it doesnt look bad.
Well now you can build the rest of your house!
