okay yeah hi so uh introduction to the snow baby;
while leaving art class to go home at around 7:00pm yesterday, i saw our security guard holding a baby on his arm, and asked about it, and he told me that some of the kids at school had found the baby for a few days and that they were worried about it, so they gave it to him. he said he didn't want to leave it to die and would take them home if only he didn't own cats, so i offered to care for them without a second thought about it and thats basically how i found em.
right now i have them settled in a shoebox with a warm cloth and have given up my bathroom to them heh, but yeah im feeding them every 40 minutes some soft (wet) cat food and water and i think (hope) they're doing alright with this.
im going to call a local wildlife rehabilitation organization to see what we ive got to do next, ive read that i should've left them where they were found but the thing is that...I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THEY WERE FOUND T0T all i know is that it's somewhere at school, but i dont even have access to campus/contact with the security guard until monday + my house is kinda far and has a lot of cats (one of which ive named mayonnaise and see daily he's so sweet and orange and dumb and unfortunately has a hunters instinct...i might upload about him one day)
anyway i just hope im doing the right thing rn, i want the fletching to be okay ;0; if anyone has ideas on what i should do or is more of a professional at this then PLEASE help tell me if im doing something wrong!! also their species is a northern mockingbird, pretty sure (also the image is not meant to be sideways lol)
