Had a little break from planet minecraft, while I've been getting used to minecraft once again.
There were some things I didn't quite understand. Like, Withers, Potions and some new additions to minecraft.
All on Medieval craft. Great server, and I advise checking it out :D

but that would make it a music sight and illegal so ya get some one to help you make textures and im gona see if this works make a new folder name it and take bits of the song and put it in the folder.

Also, i found out the hard way on a beta release that posting copyrighted music (so anything on iTunes) is actually extremely illegal :3

I don't think you fully understand what a resource pack is. A resource pack is the updated version of a texture pack, not a separate thing. A resource pack is the textures, sounds and everything in one zip file.

I understand exactly what a resource pack is, I am simply saying, that, because the audio is a new addition to minecraft, people should be able to exploit only that.

Resourcepack can include and exclude "categories" (Categories I mean sounds, textures, language etc.). In your resourcepack you can add for example the new sounds only resulting in a resourcepack that only adds the stuff you changed. Therefor there is no "robbery".

I think 1.6.2 added multiple active resourcepack compability (It is going to be added soon if it wasn't in 1.6.2) so you can have all your favourite songs as well as textures even though they are made by 2 different persons. Please excuse my english c:

yeah i would love the multiple categories (mostly because soon modern hd will show up in all of those) I hope 1.6.2 added that though, cause thats a part of my master evil scheme...

if u would like your favourite music in mc you better do it yourself, no one knows better what you like. Resource packs with only music would also defeat the purpose of PMC, Being Creative! Cause anyone can put in music but not everyone can build, write, skin, ... something great

Just make your resource pack have no files in the texture folders except those you change yourself the missing textures will be filled in with default automatically

I'm going to ask you a question; why should you be able to post a resource pack with your favorite songs on PMC? To earn experience on someone else's work? To steal the artist's hard work and publish it on another website? It's called piracy, and it's against the law. To make sure PMC doesn't get sued, they make the rules follow the law. If you want PMC to exist, then don't post your illegal resource pack, save them for personal use!

Also, how is the PMC rules a con of resource packs? Resource packs are not connected to the rules of PMC.
