Hey guys! It's me, Aggrammar (I got a new account, my old one was hacked!) Again and I have a more updated list of tips & tricks for your server! (If you don't read my first one, this will confuse you as this is where it leaves off!)
[1] Set a maintenance time. This will help you stay organized and clear of stuff like old plugins or unneeded staff. I would prefer at least 1-2 hours for this, but not to long as it will irritate players who want to play!
[2] If some of your staff have a problem with each other, either A: Get rid of one of them, or B: Wait for it to solve it self. If you have staff who are angry with each other, they will make players & new joiners be like "Wtf is going on?" You want to avoid this as much as possible or your reputation will go down extremely.
[3] To help secure your server, Try to get a working forums system and donation system. As I said in the previous one, this'll make it a lot easier on you so you wouldn't have to manually giving them their donation items or a book to apply for staff. I would prefer Enjin or Webs for website hosters. They both host freely but can cost for better features.
[4] If you must punish any players for breaking rules, do it kindly. I.E meaning give them warnings! I feel three warnings is great. After their three warnings, I would either; Mute them, Kick them, Temp-Ban them for a reasonable time (Not like 10 years) Then if it is really bad, ban thempermanentlybut give them the option to apply for an unban.
[5] If you are going to use a host, usehttp://ophosting.org/billing/cart.phpas they have the cheapest and best servers ever!
