I belive that Servers with shops are ruining the point of minecraft! The point of minecraft is to work hard and gather rescources, not to buy 5 diamonds on your first login. I am concerned that too many servers have shops that sell items for very cheap, especially PvP servers. A shop ruined my favorite server of all time, It used to be called "Solace Gaming" but it is no longer up. Within 3 days of the shop, everyone had diamond armor and within 10 days, along with EXP drop parties and a free enchantment room at spawn, everyone had max level enchantments on everything. It ruined the whole reason i liked the server! I liked the server because you had te earn what you wanted! There was only like 1 person on the server with full diamond armor, and he donated for it!

I was very sad when the server transformed. I liked it the old way, where bases were cobble, and armor was iron. Not bases are obsidian, and armor is enchanted diamond. Shops may be good for a while, but they definately can ruin a server and a player's MineCraft Experience on the server.
