Hello guys, I have decided to get back into my writing career with a simple rant, I'd like for you're opinions back and how you feel about what I'm talking about and all that stuff.
So I got on the Server I've frequented for the past, say 6 months, yeah since about October. I got on and voiced my opinion over something that I thought should be changed, I felt that it was always an open community, opinions encouraged. Me and the Server Owner had gotten very close I had become his first Admin on the Server before resigning due to personal things.
As I was saying, I got on and voiced my opinion, I had rejoined the Staff Team and the Server Owner had become more strict, daily, rule changes everyday and all of that. When I asked him about it he claimed that's how servers are run, when I told him that this is the strictest server I'd ever been on we argued for a while. I had to go, and simply told him, I'm leaving goodbye. So when I got back from doing what I needed to do, I was going to log onto the server. I was confronted with the message that I had been banned, no reason was given except for the default "The Ban Hammer has spoken!"
I understand that he owns the Server, he can do what he wants, but was I in the wrong for offering criticism, should I sit back and be a yes-man? What are you're thoughts on this situation as I'm curious how others would take this. I am going to keep all users and the Server name in secrecy as even though I find this ridiculous I wouldn't try to hurt the Server.
