was that a bad choice for you ? im considering dropping out because it's getting boring and our school makes us learn the same stuff over and over again so it's like not worth it to me.

I wouldn't say it went well, but I didn't have like 5 credits in something and I was well too tired of school. I had been present for most of the school year, up to the last day. I don't know if it counts, but I was slated for another semester or a year past Senior year, and I wasn't having that <o/ so I sent an email to the big guy man person in the office and told him I would let someone else go to school in my place.

I don't really know if it's worth it to drop out. You don't get a certificate, so I guess that's a reason to stay in. It also depends on what you want to do. Doctor? Oof! you suffer through 4 year university. Candle maker? Nah, just go make candles. There's definitely some value in the certificate when it comes to employment opportunity though.

I want to tune and restore pianos and organs, and play them as well. I can't think of any real requirement of being a high school graduate when it comes to that.

The education is valued way too highly, but the system is treated very poorly by those who run it. It's why school is so boring and pointless. And baaad :/

But it's probably not a good idea to drop it because it's boring. I'm not familiar with how easy it is to get back into it if one decides to do so.

Anyway, tough decision make it count in your favor :)

well i want to draw so it's like ? i don't really need a certificate nor a degree for that lol but i'll just get my certificate and see if i want to go to college ! thanks for your advice ! :D

There's lots of drawing resources online. You can go to college to get a degree in art, music, all sorts of stuff. That costs tuition, or grant money if you can get it. Tuition can be really expensive, and bury you in debt if you're not careful. I think it's manageable in many cases, but it's tricky. If you can find someone who is willing to teach you, and it doesn't cost you a ton, you can get some valuable experience and practice without dying of debt ^^'

I went exploring in an old electric organ forum and found some musicians who got music degrees, and they had explicitly stated that they regret going to college for it. It kind of surprised me at first, but when it comes down to it, a good musician practices and learns how to play to music. No musician needs to go to college to become a good musician.

I should probably make it clear I'm not really pro-college... so there's a grain of salt that should be added to my advice :p

That being said, college can be a worthy experience, and I admire people who take it upon themselves to go to college. And I'm sure it can be fun lol

oh i don't live in America, so these debts don't really exist in my country ! But i doubt i'll go to college anyway ! Thanks again you have some great tips man !
